Why is a team’s best players so often overlooked?

Juventus are currently second in Serie A and have won four of their last five matches, but their best players, including Alessandro Nesta and Gianluigi Buffon, have only featured in three of their five games.

Juventus are currently top of the table, but they have yet to find a way past the hosts at the Etihad Stadium.

The hosts have been the better side in recent weeks, with Gonzalo Higuain’s side winning four of five.

Higuard’s strike against Fiorentina was his first goal in eight matches, with the midfielder also hitting the post twice in the 3-1 victory over AC Milan on Sunday.

The Bianconeri have also conceded fewer goals in Serie B (13) than in Serie C (19), but their two losses to Juventus have been by a combined score of 4-0.

It has been a tough start for the Nerazzurri, who have lost three of four and sit in third place in the Serie A table.

Juve’s best performers, however, have not featured in the last four matches.

The best in the competition so far are Mauro Icardi, Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Zapata.

Mandzukich scored his first Serie A goal against Sampdoria on Tuesday, and he is now on the radar of Fiorendina, who are seeking a first league win for three months.

The Croatia international has started all three of Fiorenntina’s matches this season, scoring two goals.
