A nail salon and spa equipment manufacturer in Australia has been forced to shut down after a security guard set a blaze at its base in a suburb of Brisbane.
The blaze at Diamond Spa Pedicure and Spa Equipment in West Brisbane was extinguished by firefighters and police.
The fire was reported just after 3am local time on Tuesday.
The company was alerted by the manager to a fire on the premises.
It said it had sent firefighters and a fire department inspector to investigate.
The incident comes as diamond-themed spa equipment is being targeted in Queensland.
In the latest case, the owner of a Perth-based nail salon was arrested after police found an axe in his car.
He was charged with assault and is due to appear in court on Thursday.
A similar attack occurred in February, with two men stealing a nail salon equipment in Melbourne’s CBD.
