Spa: Las Vegas shooting victim ‘didn’t know he was being watched’

The victim of a shooting at the Las Vegas resort spa where he was attending a birthday party has been identified as 22-year-old Bryce Harper.

Harper’s family has posted a tribute on social media saying he was “a beautiful soul, full of energy and love.”

His family said in a statement they were “heartbroken” and “broken” by the news.

The statement says Harper had just returned from his family’s birthday bash when a group of people approached him from behind.

They told Harper he was not welcome at the party.

“They told him he was trespassing, and he could not enter.

So he said ‘I’m not trespassing.’

They were very concerned, and then he was shot,” Harper’s father, Jason Harper, told the Associated Press.

Jason Harper told the AP his son was a “beautiful soul, filled with energy and hope.”

Harper was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, according to a news release from the family.

The Las Vegas Police Department said officers responded to the scene of the shooting and found Harper’s body.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Harper’s family.

It was set up Friday evening and has raised more than $7,500.
